How insurance confirmation works
Every field owner on Rompo confirms to us that they hold £1m public liability insurance for their field. When you see the insurance confirmed badge on a listing, that is what it means: the owner has made that declaration to Rompo.
What the badge is
- A declaration by the field owner that £1m public liability cover is in place for the field you are booking.
- A condition of listing a claimed field on Rompo. Owners confirm it during setup and are asked to keep it current.
- Recorded by us, with the owner accountable for its accuracy.
What the badge is not
We want to be straight with you about the limits. At this stage, the confirmation is the owner's declaration: Rompo does not yet inspect insurance documents or verify policies with insurers. It is not a guarantee by Rompo, and it does not replace your own judgement about a field's condition on the day. If document checks are introduced later, this page will say so plainly.
Where responsibility sits
Field owners are responsible for their premises, including fencing, gates and access. You are responsible for your dog. Rompo acts as the booking agent between you. That division is set out in our terms of service, in the same plain English.
Unclaimed listings
Fields marked as not yet joined Rompo were added from public sources and their owners have not made any declaration to us, so they never carry the badge. If you book one of those fields directly on the owner's own site, Rompo protections do not apply.
Something not right?
If you visit a field and believe its listing or insurance confirmation is inaccurate, tell us at hello@rompo.co.uk. We take accuracy seriously and will follow it up with the owner.
